Sentimental

Aw, I'm feeling a bit sentimental tonight. Three years ago I was lumbering about like a pregnant elephant seal, putting things in a suitcase and making final preparations for the following day's scheduled induction. It didn't quite go as planned. But look what I brought home!

I remember during those final swollen, aching weeks feeling with absolute certainty that these babies were going to be easier out than in. Almost three years on, I still smile wryly at that one.

  1. Happy almost third birthday to your girls!
I think that a child's birthday will always be such a special day for the mother...savour that sentimental feeling!

And somedays when Toddler C is being a handful I threaten to put him back in!

  3. Oh so tiny! Happy Birthday to your gorgeous girls Greer - they're so beautiful. I get a bit mushy on birthdays too, particularly with the Boys. 3 was a magical turning point for me and I tell everyone it gets easier with twins from 3 onwards......And you knitted for them back then too. Hope they had a wonderful day. Mel x

  8. So tiny! When I was D O N E my midwife shared the sentiment that babies are always easier to take care of inside mama than they are outside.. and she was right. I can imagine the same holds true multiplied by two. But twins.. I've always been so fascinated by them! It must be so special.

  15. Oh good lord they are just too tiny and perfect for words! I think we are all allowed to get a bit sentimental on the eve of our children's birthdays and indulge in some "this time one/two/three years ago..." type moments.
