Eight Things

Eight bits and pieces in and around my place today:
1) A battered but beautiful tin from the oppy.
2) Collage by Lola.
3) Prepping some ingredients for a little photo shoot.
4) Where possible I like to ensure my book matches my knitting. Uh-huh.
5) Jane Austen hour.
6) The very wide shot. It's about as makeshift as it gets here in my, ahem, 'studio'.
7) "Mr Potato Head and a big sister" by Stella.
8) Our homemade yoghurt, in jars these days.

  1. What do you think of Snow Child? I've been humming and hawing about suggesting it for my book group... Good idea?

  2. I have been making your yogurt once a week...it is so easy and so good!
I portion it out into two big jars and a few single serve jars...easy to grab and go!

  4. Mentally kidnapping the spools of wool and that tin...

Beautiful shots. Loving finding these little moments around the house and capturing them for prosperity.

  5. Oh just gorgeous, I love the way that there are a million things going on at once, yet it all seems so still and calm.

  6. I am still on the hold list for snow child. So good to hear that the worth will be worth it. Love the truth behind the scenes.

  7. Eight very beautifully photographed things, too! I love the colours in your first photo.

I sometimes resort to using tea towels and dishcloths for backdrops - anything to hide the chipped and stained grout in the kitchen.

  9. Pretty pictures. The rose tin brings back memories of my Mum. She must have had a tin or tray in that pattern, can't remember which.

  13. Hi there ! I'm enjoying my first visit to your blog and I'm so grateful for your honest portrait of your makeshift studio. It's easy to idealize a lot of carefully edited blogs and forget they may be living lovely 'normal' lives:)
    Thanks
