This will be the first weekend in about 170 years (it feels) that I don't have to work. Four glorious days!  I plan to:

~ enjoy lunch with friends on Friday
~ enjoy lunch with more friends on Saturday
~ have fun visiting new local friends on Sunday
~ turn the compost
~ put together the raised vegetable gardens that have been sitting there for weeks
~ finish sewing three pairs of Easter pyjamas (before Sunday)
~ sew eyes and noses and tails onto three little bunnies (before Sunday)
~ knitknitknitknitknit
~ read a couple of new magazines and maybe finish my book
~ cook and cook and bake and bake
~ eat some chocolate
~ soak up the glorious autumny-ness all around me at the moment
~ enjoy my lovely family
~ unplug from this wonderful, and time-stealing, online world.

See you in a few days.
Happy Easter!

  1. Still sounds like your very busy! Have a wonderful few days and Happy Easter. x

  2. Love your list. In fact, mine's very similar. It'll just be the four of us apart from a easter egg hunt (later called a champagne brunch) at a friend's house on Sunday. We're making compost tomorrow (layering all the bits together), and building some veg beds. Lots of baking I'm sure, though I haven't planned what we're eating yet. Speaking of which, I didn't know your hubbie was Greek! I'd love to join you for your Easter meals! Our favourite holidays have been in Greece, and Greek food has to be right at the top for us. So many beautiful memories and so many amazing dishes on the island of Kefalonia - all before children of course.

  3. Such an inspiring list, I can feel how excited you are about the weekend!! Have fun :) oh and knit away!

  4. Good luck and have an awesome weekend!

  5. Happy Easter! That's a long list but it sounds like fun :-)

  6. Sounds busy but wonderful. Looking forward to hearing how you get on.
And the weather is glorious. Enjoy

  7. Happy Easter Greer. Good to hear you've got the weekend off. Hope you get to relax, relax, relax as well as ticking those things off your list. Have a great time. xx

  8. Good Lord, busy!! But hopefully a happy sort of busy. Sounds like a pretty perfect weekend to me. Happy Easter. xx

  9. Great photo!

Hope you have a wonderful Easter long weekend. It sounds like you have a lot of interesting projects to do and glad to see you have included some important chocolate eating on the to-do list.

I'm working Sunday and Monday. :( Sad to be missing the Easter egg hunt tomorrow.

I love comments. Thanks for yours!
