I'm secretly freaking out about Cohen starting school next year! He's been my constant companion the past four years, never going to childcare or kindy, and next year he is off to Prep. He's ready for it now, and some days I really am! But I'm nervous too about what is in store and sad about saying goodbye to our current routines and lifestyle. xx
We're only halfway through so another week of holidays. So far so good. Such a double edged sword though, it's always nice when holidays roll around to have a break from the school routine and spend some lazy days together but at the same time having 5 kids at home (plus friends - we have 2 extra sleeping over tonight!) is always so exhausting so I do look forward to having a few hours break when school goes back again. I'm convinced it's because you anticipate having a little reprieve from the Kids so those last few days of holidays kinda drag out. If you had 6 weeks of holidays I think it would be fine as well until the last few days. That drawing is a cracker! Puffer has strong poison, LOVE it! x
Love their crafty endeavours! We are counting down the days till Friday when the six week summer holidays start and we are looking forward to a break and some quiet days. We are all tired, grouchy and ready for a rest. x
I think it would be perfect if all year round we could roll out of bed any time we like (somewhere round 9ish, say) and then jut get the kids off to school any time we like (some days for me that would be 10ish and others more like lunchtime) then pick them up round four or five. Best of both worlds. Relaxed mornings plus time to self. Yes.
First day of the school holidays here for us. All holding up well, just wish the weather would clear a little. xo
