As teenagers, we'd roll our eyes as Mum ooh-ed and ahh-ed at the beautiful flowers and gorgeous scenery. "Greer, look at that tree! Oh, the colour of the blossoms! See how green the countryside is?"
"Aww, Muuuuuuummmm, shuuuuut-uuuup."
As her three adult daughters strolled through the botanic gardens yesterday, we laughed at ourselves as we ooh-ed and ahh-ed at the beautiful flowers and gorgeous scenery.
She would have been smiling.
She certainly would have been smiling Greer!
ReplyDeleteI remember hating driving around with my parents looking at houses or beautiful scenery. I just wanted to get where we were going. Now, I love taking a scenic route and looking at all the houses and beautiful vistas. Some of my kids like it too. Others? Well...we tell them to hush.
