22/52

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013" via Che and Fidel.

Lola: She refers to exclamation marks as 'excitement marks'. I totally understand!!!
Pearl: This week, instead of clinging and weeping, she smiled and waved goodbye when I left her at preschool.
Stella: "Is that one of them cock-a-doody-doody things?" she inquired, pointing to a picture of a chicken.

Previous 52 portraits here.

  2. They are such lovely girls.
I am going to borrow excitement marks...they really should have been called that in the first place.

  3. Sweetness :) Well done to Pearl. You must have been so proud of her bravery this week Greer :) I'm still settling 3 little tearful preschoolers in my class - They just need a big cuddle and a little reminder of how much they actually do have in their days at preschool!! Excitement mark worthy fun!!

  11. Look at all those beautiful eyelashes and button noses! Stella's comment made me chuckle. I sing a little rhyme to Everly that includes a rooster, and then she runs around the house saying, 'Cock cock cock!'. Erm...

  12. Beautiful pics!

(I had to laugh out loud when someone referred to their chickens' eggs as "cackle berries". "Cackle berries" are a staple in our household vocabulary now!)
