It was the jumper that jumped the queue. And then the queue got its own back, and toilet-training sisters caused unforeseen delays.
But then it was done, and it was lovely, and all was right with the world.
And there was dancing to prove it.
The pattern is Rubble by Alison Brookbanks. The yarn is Cleckheaton. The colour is pink enough to please her and not pink enough to displease me.
I'm reading a novel. About something other than parenting. It's good.
Ravelry notes here.
Yarn Along here.
Speaking of 'queue jumping', are you (Australians) watching Go Back to Where You Came From on SBS. Throat-constrictingly powerful stuff.
Ooh that's a cute jumper and love the wool. Off to check out the pattern, I think my 5 yr old would like this too.
ReplyDeleteIf there is dancing involved then it must be good! It looks adorable on your wee one.
ReplyDeleteOh it is beautiful. I love it! Especially the dirty knees :) It looks like such a practical jumper if I had a girl I'd cast one on myself. Your knitting is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI would quite like an adult sized version of that sweater! It might even make me dance!
ReplyDeleteI love a three quarter length sleeve...so practical for all those great mommy things like washing the dishes and bathing the baby!
Oh, the sweater turned out beautifully (and goes perfectly with dancing and muddy knees - love it)!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the three-quarter length sleeves - I never knit anything for my wee girl with full length sleeves because I loathe the soggy edge when she's been to wash her hands (and can't bear watching my careful stitches being rolled up for said activity). This pattern looks PERFECT and will be on my to-do list immediately.
ReplyDeletePerfect all round by the look of that smile, (can only guess yours is as big).
ReplyDeleteLovely colour and design.
Enjoy
Love it!! And so does she---obviously!! Look at that smile!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still reading Simplicity Parenting. I'm reading on average a few lines every day or so. I pick it up and fall asleep. Can't believe I ever used to read a book from cover to cover. When do you ever find time to read with all that knitting woman?
ReplyDeleteloved the heathered purple yarn!! Cute sweater and it fits wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteLove the jumper...would not mine one in my size!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sweater and just perfect on your little one :)
ReplyDeleteLovely jumper, perfect colour too :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great jumper! I love that the yarn is nearly iridescent. Great work!
ReplyDeleteLove the swing-y shape of it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful on her. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThat's a perfect jumper; colour, pattern and all. Lovely!
ReplyDeletebeautiful....the jumper and the model!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!
ReplyDeleteOh I think I'm going to have to make that - or something similar - too. Not sure how my little miss would like that neckline but it's absolutely gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Great job. I love the color!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE this jumper. Haven't seen that pattern but it will now be added to my (long) list. The colour is just perfect of your girl.
ReplyDeleteLove this jumper Greer and it suits
ReplyDeleteLola to a T. She looks mighty pleased with it too, as she should with such a c lever mum. Xx
It's sooo cosy, green knees, equals, "I've had fun!" Ada :)
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely, I want one! Heather x
ReplyDeletelove it Greer - especially love the 3/4 sleeves - sleeves always get in the way and get filthy don't you think.
ReplyDeleteBut its not pink enough for me.....i LOVE pink ;)
Natalie xx
Love it! The colour is a perfect purple for me (I think I am the only purple lover I know) It looks great on Lola and your pictures are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love it too. Purple was my favourite colour as a child.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to knit so quickly. Do you knit English or Continental style?
:)
I LOVED that book. Kellie xx
ReplyDeletePS love the jumper too! She's growing up!
Greer, it's perfect. The colour, the shapes, everything. She wears it well! Good job. xx
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the yarn-the purple and pink blend so nicely.
ReplyDeleteyep added this one to my library - it happens every week, adding something new to try.
