  1. Oh goodness it sounds like you are busy. I am currently toilet training one boy - very much different than my girl before him. I can't even imagine leaving the house right now. But, I always keep a small potty in the trunk in case either of my kids needs to use it while we are out. It didn't really work in the beginning, but it seems to work well now :-)

  3. Oh my, I never thought once of toilet training twins......My son took forever and ever. He even remembers being a little stinker when toilet training. I hope you do get your yarn!!

  4. It sounds like you're very busy right now!
Could you possibly add a contrasting colour to the last part of the sweater and make it a feature?

  5. good luck with the potty-training... I have a twin sister, I suppose it had to be "fun" when we were starting to be toilet-trained - sorry, no advice from me - I don't exactly remember the first years of my life :D
I LOVE the yarn you're using! what's it called? the chance they'd have it in out yarn-shop are close to zero, but I might try to look for it somewhere - I really love the color.
good luck with getting more yarn :)

  6. Good luck with the toilet training, my daughter turned 3 last week, but I still haven't done anything about it, I'm hoping she might work it out for herself...

  7. Good luck with the potty training. Perhaps the sleeves could be shortened or a complementary color used. Do you have a lifeline call you could make - a dear friend willing to run for yarn and food??

  8. Good luck with potty training!! I trained one this past spring and almost went crazy. I can't imagine two at a time! The yarn is gorgeous for the jumper! That stinks about the yarn :-(

  10. Oh toilet training! Oh the pain! I told Dave I would have ten children if not for teething and toilet training! The only way we succeeded with toilet training Cohen was with a star chart and Lego minifigures. He got a star each time he tried or actually went, and ten stars meant he got a minifigure. I hear girls are easier than boys? Not sure how that works when there is two though. So I am sending you patience and a sense of humor, but should probably be sending more undies and paper towels instead. Good luck!

PS. How are you finding the book?

  11. oh brings back such "fond" memories (my kids were 15 months apart----boy first, girl second---and she was potty trained before her big brother) In spite of my serious concerns, he did not go to school in diapers.

  12. I have a toilet training (boy) so I sympathize. Your post cracked me up - reminded me of the delightful little stats at the beginning of the chapters in Bridget Jones Diary.

  14. Busy busy! I remember the potty training days. The first time I realized "I have absolutely no control over this". This too shall pass.....

  15. hahaha - don't worry, you know you will forget all about it (once you have completely lost your mind :)) And I always tried to remind myself that having one potty training toddler would have immobilized me almost just as much as having two. In the end I just put them in pull-ups when we left the house.

  16. Oh no! They do say that girls get there quicker than boys *strokes your furrowed brow* We finally got our third child potty trained via the medium of frozen yoghurt tubes. It was amazing how his mind was focussed when the reward was so tempting. Good luck.

  17. You have my sympathy and I only had to do one at a time. I remember coming home from work all suited and booted to be told that my daughter, who was sitting on my lap, had done very well with the potty training that day. The next minute there was a little accident that meant we both had to change our pants!

  18. Great post, hee hee, it did make me chuckle. Bloody typical that you run out of yarn just at the end of a project. Angus did one TINY wee on the potty yesterday, so I haven't totally given up hope yet. Good luck! x

  21. Just catching up here. I remember those days. I used to remind myself that no healthy child ever started school still needing a potty, and mop on.

Thanks for the giggle and I hope you get to pick up that extra ball of yarn.

  23. Loved this! Brought back memories. I remember my daughter helping my son. They were 22mos apart. Anyhow he was sitting on the toilet like a girl so.... It shot across the room. I heard her clapping and telling him bravo to find it. Hwncould a mama be upset?! One day you will be like me, it will all be just memories. Savor the moments. (beautiful heather yarn. )
