In my kitchen these past couple of weeks:
Chickpeas and chorizo, lemons from a friend's tree, a spatchcocked free-range chook marinating in marjoram and olive oil, the most perfect egg I ever did poach (laid the day before by a neighbourhood hen), creamy tagliatelle with smoked salmon and chives, and home-baked bread rolls awaiting sausages and sauce.
What's been cooking at your place?
My tummy is grumbling! This is all looks so delicious. What's your bread roll recipe?
ReplyDeleteSar xx
I've been using the olive oil bread recipe from the Bourke Street Bakery cookbook (with dry yeast when I can't find the fresh stuff).
DeleteAll my favourite things! Yum. I've been making homemade chicken stock, pumpkin soup and lots of winter baking...
ReplyDeleteNot a lot with tonsillitis. Pity you don't live next door... I would have asked for all the leftovers. But I'm guessing there weren't any. x
ReplyDeleteLook at that egg! Perfection!
ReplyDeleteI have been obsessed with roasted garlic...so roasted garlic on toast, roasted garlic sour cream...you name it, whatever it is I am cooking will have roasted garlic in it.
And at the moment there is a cake in the oven...a certain someone turns two tomorrow!
Wow I am coming over LOL. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteYou may like the giveaway I have at the moment too xxx

I don't care what I've been cooking (or not) at my place - I'm coming to yours! xx
ReplyDeleteYUM. those bread rolls look seriously amazing. x
ReplyDeleteSoups have been making the rounds in my kitchen but they sure could have used some of your gorgeous rolls to accompany them!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that all looks delicious, especially the egg – being pregnant, it is one of the few foods I kind of miss, a really perfect runny yolk egg. We've been eating simple basics, pasta, baked chook and there's a cauliflower in the fridge waiting to be made into soup.
ReplyDeleteDoes frozen fish and chips count? Must get out my recipe folder!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm....delicious! We are rich in eggs these days, so hardly a day goes by without one or two of those perfect runny yolks.
ReplyDeletei'm not sure how it is i've just eaten dinner and am now hungry again ;)
ReplyDeleteThat all looks delicious, especially that egg - I can never get them perfect like that, what's your secret?
ReplyDeleteThe freshest fresh egg, cracked into a cup then poured gently into just simmering water in a shallow pan. Add a swish of vinegar first if the egg wasn't laid last week. If it doesn't work, blame the egg and start over.
DeleteIt all looks delicious and hearty and wholesome.
ReplyDeleteI feel hungry just looking at your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! You eat so well. That poached egg looks divine, you can't beat a perfectly poached egg.
ReplyDeleteMy parents visited last weekend so we made an effort in the kitchen. One night we had a spicy lamb stew with apricots and almonds, and served it with couscous mixed with coriander and pomegranate seeds. It was all we hoped it would be and more. And the next night we had a chicken roasted with tarragon and lemon, with roasted new potatoes. Also great. Of course, now they've gone, we're ordering pizza tonight. xx
There is no end to your talents Greer, I am quite sure of it! It's just as well you don't live closer, or else I would surely be inviting myself over for dinner! :)
